The sequel to popular 2019 drama Barrack O'Karma 金宵大廈 has started filming with most of the original cast, along with several new faces. Kaman Kong 江嘉敏 was supposed to be one of them but she recently announced on social media that she would not be part of the cast. In an interview, Kaman revealed that the filming of 7 Princesses 七公主 was extended due to the pandemic situation and conflicted with Barrack O'Karma 2's filming schedule.
Kaman was a bit upset about the missed opportunity since it was a new experience for her and she had already gone through some costume fitting and read the script. She also thanked the hairstylists she worked with for going above and beyond to find appropriate wigs for her, since the characters in Barrack O'Karma 2 and 7 Princesses had very different appearances. They hoped that Kaman could film both dramas at the same time.
Barrack O'Karma 2 producer Yip Chun-Fai 葉鎮輝 also expressed that it was regrettable to have to switch Kaman Kong out, but the filming conflict left them no choice.
